BARZONA

Projects

Where the land already carries meaning

Barzona is drawn to projects where history, infrastructure, identity, and demand intersect—and where a disciplined approach can turn an overlooked site into a lasting destination.

Barzona does not pursue projects simply because land is available. It pursues opportunities where a site can anchor something larger—a district, a destination, a renewed connection between the past and the future.

The firm believes the best developments do more than generate returns. They give people a reason to gather, invest, and stay.

Oklahoma National Stockyards

The Oklahoma National Stockyards is one of the most historically significant sites in the American West. In continuous operation since 1910, it stands as Oklahoma’s first major industry and the largest stocker-feeder cattle market in the United States at its peak.

Today, the Stockyards sits at the convergence of infrastructure, heritage, and growth—yet remains underused because the market has not fully recognized what it could become. More than 200,000 visitors arrive each year, drawn by the OG&E Coliseum’s world-class equestrian events, yet find almost nowhere to stay, eat, or shop.

Barzona sees in the Stockyards what others have not yet mapped: a heritage district with 116 years of Western identity, surrounded by billions of dollars in public and private investment, positioned to become a destination that honors the past while building something the next generation will be glad was built.

The firm’s role is to see the pattern early, shape a credible path forward, and create the kind of project that strengthens both the local economy and the identity of the place itself.

Our Conviction

Some places have more to offer than their current condition suggests

They sit at the convergence of infrastructure, heritage, and growth—yet remain underused because the market has not fully recognized what they could become. Barzona looks for those places.

The firm’s role is to see the pattern early, shape a credible path forward, and create the kind of project that strengthens both the local economy and the identity of the place itself.
